Winery
Calcu Vineyards and Viña Maquis share a winery in Palmilla in the Colchagua Valley for making and ageing their wines.
The winery was built in 2002 under a sustainable concept using gravity technology to allow the grapes and musts to move gently in order to better preserve the aromas and flavours of each of its wines.
Equipped with an innovative geothermal plant, it is the only winery in Chile that uses this type of energy for its wine production. Thanks to this initiative, they were recognized by the Chilean-British Chamber of Commerce as they reduced their gas consumption by 90% and electricity consumption by 40% per litre of wine produced.
