Winemaking team

Passion for the pursuit of excellence is one of the fundamental pillars of the Hurtado family business and this is reflected in each of its wines. The winemaking team implements this profound commitment to the pursuit of excellence through precision viticulture and winemaking that accurately reflects the character of Calcu Vineyards in Marchigüe.
“We aim to produce fresh wines with pure and natural aromatic expression, enhancing the characteristics of each variety with moderate alcohol levels and natural acidity. The wines are aged in oak barrels, adding complexity while maintaining the unique character and terroir expression in the fruit”, explains Head Winemaker, Rodrigo Romero.
